Festival This years festival was a resounding success. Festival goers enjoyed live entertainment by Dutch artists and groups as well as those from other local ethnic communities. Karnaval clubs from across Australia gathered and provided a spectacular parade with brass bands and dancing girls. There were lots of activities for young and old to enjoy throughout the day, with live music and dancing until midnight. Kids were entertained all day with the animal farm, the jumping castle and much more. The cultural exhibits were very popular and included a performance by the Melbourne Tukkers traditional folk dancers. An exhibition by The Dutch Heritage Centre displayed many interesting items from many years ago. Many stalls with traditional food and delicacies ensured that festival goers did not get hungry or thirsty. Drinks stands provided cold beer and wine, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during the Festival. Many families, friends and Social Clubs use the Holland Festival as a venue to meet and enjoy each others company. Last but not least our Festival would not be possible without our sponsors, please visit our sponsor page |
